1 Victory in six games against SEC opponents for Arizona State, which defeated Mississippi State 30-23 on Sept. 7. Texas defeated Mississippi State 35-13 on Sept. 28. Wednesday’s game will be the Sun Devils’ first bowl meeting with an SEC opponent.

1 TD is needed by Arizona State RB Cam Skattebo to set a school single-season record. With 19 rushing TDs and three receiving TDs, Skattebo is tied for the school record with Wilford White, who scored 22 TDs in 1950.

3 Quarterbacks have 24 or more TD passes and five or fewer interceptions this season, including Arizona State’s Sam Leavitt, who has completed 192-of-304 passes for 2,663 yards with 24 TDs and five interceptions. 3 Texas players have won the Thorpe Award as the nation’s best defensive back, including current CB Jahdae Barron, who won the honor for the 2024 season. Texas is now tied with LSU and Oklahoma for the most Thorpe winners with three each.

The Longhorns are 34-3 when they finish with more yards than their opponents during Sarkisian’s tenure. Texas is 3-13 in that time when it has not outgained its opponents. Arizona State has averaged gaining 423.2 yards and Texas has averaged gaining 448.9 yards per game this season.

5 Texas players have won the Outland Trophy and four have won the Lombardi Award, but only one has won both – current OT Kelvin Banks Jr., who took home both awards for the 2024 season.

5 Years since Arizona State won a bowl. The Sun Devils defeated Florida State 20-14 in the Sun Bowl on Dec. 31, 2019. Arizona State lost its only bowl appearance since then – a 20-13 setback against Wisconsin in the Las Vegas Bowl on Dec 30, 2021. Arizona State has a 15-17-1 bowl record.

11 Arizona State players have posted 16 1,000-yard receiving seasons, including WR Jordyn Tyson in 2024. Tyson has 75 receptions for 1,101 yards and 10 TDs this season.

23 Victories, 16 losses and one tie for SEC teams in the Peach Bowl after Ole Miss defeated Penn State 38-25 in last season’s game. SEC teams have won their past five appearances in the Peach Bowl. The Big 12 has a 1-1 record in the Peach Bowl and played an SEC opponent in both appearances. TCU defeated Ole Miss 42-3 on Dec. 31, 2014, and LSU defeated Oklahoma 63-28 on Dec 28, 2019.

25 Consecutive games with a TD pass by Texas QB Quinn Ewers, tied for the longest streak in the nation and the second-longest in school history behind a 29-game streak by Colt McCoy across the 2007, 2008 and 2009 seasons.

27 Rushing yards are needed by RB Quintrevion Wisner to become the 15th Texas player to record 1,000 in one season. The previous 14 players to reach that milestone for the Longhorns produced 26 1,000-yard seasons. Wisner has 973 yards and five TDs on 191 rushing attempts.

29 Takeaways for Texas this season, tied for the most in the nation. The Longhorns have recovered nine of their opponents’ fumbles and intercepted 20 passes. Arizona has eight turnovers – three fumbles and five interceptions – this season. Only one team in the nation has fewer turnovers.

29 Years since Texas played a non-conference game against a member of the Big 12 or its ancestral conferences. In 1996, Texas joined fellow former Southwest Conference members Baylor, Texas A&M and Texas Tech in moving to the Big Eight and making it the Big 12. Texas is playing its first season as an SEC member in 2024. That makes Texas’ previous non-conference game against a Big Eight team was a 24-24 tie with Oklahoma on Oct. 14, 1995. Arizona State is playing its first season as a member of the Big 12.

38 Years since Arizona State won a game in January. The Sun Devils defeated Michigan 22-15 in the Rose Bowl on Jan. 1, 1987. Wednesday’s game is Arizona State’s third January outing since that victory.

61 Bowl appearances for Texas when the Longhorns take the field on Wednesday, including a 38-24 victory over Clemson in a first-round game in the College Football Playoff on Dec. 21. Texas has a 32-26-2 record in bowls.

75 Rushing yards are needed by Arizona State RB Cam Skattebo to break the school single-season record of 1,642 set by Eno Benjamin in 2018. Skattebo has run for 1,568 yards and 19 TDs on 263 carries this season.

146 Rushing yards for RB Jaydon Blue and 110 rushing yards for RB Quintrevion Wisner in Texas’ 38-24 victory over Clemson in a CFP first-round game on Dec. 21. Wisner has 973 rushing yards and Blue 710 rushing yards for the Longhorns in 2024. Five players have run for more than 100 yards in a game against Arizona State this season, including in both the Sun Devils’ losses, with Texas Tech’s Tahj Brooks running for 117 yards on 27 carries in a 30-22 victory on Sept. 21 and Cincinnati’s Corey Kiner gaining 102 yards on 22 carries in a 24-14 victory on Oct. 19.
