Pat McAfee’s ESPN deal worth $85 million over five years, per report

Pat McAfee’s new deal with ESPN is worth $85 million over five years, according to the New York Post.

McAfee, it was reported earlier this month, left a $120 million gig at YouTube to become part of ESPN.

“Interesting number,” McAfee told “The Post.” “I don’t talk about the business side of it all, the actual numbers and such.”

“The Pat McAfee Show” will move to ESPN this fall. In addition to hosting the daily show, McAfee will contribute to ESPN digital and social platforms. He will also continue his college football analyst role on ESPN’s “College GameDay.”

McAfee explained why he left YouTube for ESPN and for less money.

“Their production assets, league rights capabilities, and access to everything in the sports world makes us incredibly pumped about the possibilities and can’t wait to get started this fall,” McAfee told the Post.

Per the report, McAfee and co-host A.J. Hawk, along with his producers and guests, will retain creative control of the show.
