Pat McAfee won’t let the Washington State controversy die.

On Saturday, during ESPN’s “College GameDay,” it was the analyst’s turn to chime in on the ongoing feud after Lee Corso’s comments last week sparked a mini controversy.

“Ah, who cares,” McAfee said. “Who cares? Were you guys showing this flag when they were 1-11 in 2009? How about 2-10 in 2010? You were? That’s wild. So when they sucked, you guys were showing them every single week on the biggest college football show? Wow! Handle success, Ryan Leaf! Geez.

“I want a West Virginia flag flying up there every single time. We don’t get it. Washington State gets it, and all of a sudden, Washington State’s going, ‘Now Big Beav’s up there!’ Like, shut up! Washington State, about sick of you! Waste of time on this show.”

Last week, Corso was commenting on the Washington State-Oregon State game and Washington State coach Jake Dickert interpreted Corso’s comment as the “No One Watches Bowl.” However, Corso actually called it the “Nobody Wants Us Bowl” because of their lack of a landing spot after the season.

Former quarterback Ryan Leaf backed Dickert’s comments.

“And College GameDay is supposed to be a celebration of college football,” Leaf wrote on social media. “Instead, they choose to make it a big joke, and everyone on the panel enables it. Just a bunch of windsocks.”

Leaf’s comments led Kirk Herbstreit to chime in on social media, too.
