Downtown Birmingham is about to add some sizzle to its steak.

An Outback Steakhouse is set to open at 20 Midtown, across the street from Publix, early next year, according to Bham Now.

A spokeswoman for the Australian-themed casual restaurant known for the calorie-laden Bloomin’ Onion could not be reached by AL.com, but a “Coming Soon” sign accompanied by the Outback logo was spotted at the site and posted to social media.

Anchored by luxury apartments of the same name, 20 Midtown has been a bustling development in downtown Birmingham and includes Starbucks, Chipotle and Milo’s along with Publix.
