Masters winner: Collin Morikawa

Best odds: +1600 at DraftKings Sportsbook

The favorites in golf tournaments rarely provide value in the betting market. That’s the case this year with Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy listed at less than 7.5-to-1. After those two, the odds begin to present value. That’s why Collin Morikawa is the best look of the players inside the top 10 on oddsboards.

Morikawa has everything you could want in picking a winner The Masters — tournament track record, current form, and history of winning big tournaments.

He finished third, 10th and eighth in the last three Masters Tournaments, shooting 4-under each year. He has finished in the top 17 of all five starts this season, including three top-10s and two runner-ups. He won the 2020 PGA Championship and the 2021 Open Championship.

This season he ranks second on Tour in overall Strokes Gained, including first in Stroke Gained on Approach. Approach shots are an integral variable in the formula for winning at Augusta, and Morikawa’s current form is as strong as ever.

Top-10 finish: Will Zalatoris

Best odds: +360 at Caesars Sportsbook

It’s rare to find a 100% trend in sports, but that’s what we have with Will Zalatoris and The Masters. He has started three times at Augusta and finished inside the top 10 three times, including a runner-up finish in 2021.

Zalatoris said before the 2024 tournament (when he finished T9) his unique way of reading greens helps him at Augusta, where the greens are designed to trick golfers who depend on visual reads.

He is not just a horse for the course. Zalatoris has four other top-10 finishes in major championships, including three runner-ups. His best finish this season is T12 at The American Express, but he has not missed a cut in seven starts.

So, he’s playing well. Perhaps all he needs is the confidence of a strong track record at Augusta to get his first top 10 of 2025 — and maybe his first win (+6000 odds at DraftKings).

First-round leader: Cameron Young

Best odds: +7500 at FanDuel Sportsbook

If you don’t want to wait four days to see if your bet cashes, this is the betting market for you.

With Cameron Young, you get a longshot price on a player with consistently strong performances. Young finished T9 and T7 overall at The Masters in 2024 and 2023, but more importantly, he was T6 and T4 after the first round. He shot a combined 7-under in the first round of the last two tournaments.

He has not been as consistent in the lead-up to this year’s Masters as he was the previous two years, but he has shown some upside with a T8 finish at The Sentry and a T12 finish in Phoenix. Last week, he was T18 at the Texas Open.

You’d love for Young to be in better form before making this wager, but at 70-to-1 odds, the track record at Augusta is worth it.
