OSHA investigating fires at Huntsville Amazon center
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating a pair of fires at the Amazon Fulfillment Center in Huntsville since late September, according to a news report.
WAAY is reporting the investigation deals with fires that occurred at the center at 7800 Greenbrier Road in Limestone County.
On Monday Sept. 26, what was described as a small, isolated fire broke out at the center, evacuating employees and sending them home. No one was hurt in the earlier fire.
Exactly one week later, on Oct. 3, crews again raced to the center on reports of a fire after employees had been called back to work following the previous fire.
No employees or firefighters were injured in either blaze.
Attempts to contact OSHA and Amazon for comment were not immediately successful.
