Maybe it’s gross. Maybe it’s genius. Maybe it’s both.

Either way, the Oscar Mayer hot dog straw is now a reality.

Oscar Mayer debuted the hot dog straw on Tuesday, making it available for pre-order on the company’s website. No purchase is necessary.

The limited-edition hot dog straw debuts exactly one year after a video of a baseball fan went viral after he was seen drinking his beer through a hot dog during a game between the New York Yankees and New York Mets in 2022.

The hot dog straw is not edible, however. Instead, it’s made of soft silicone and replicates the same size and color of a hot dog, according to Oscar Mayer. The product is not intended for use with hot beverages.

“While the viral ‘Hot Dog Straw’ divided the internet, we salute the brave man who paved the way to enjoy his hot dog as he wishes,” Oscar Mayer Associate Director Kelsey Rice said in a news release. “Taking inspiration from a classic Oscar Mayer dog, the silicone Hot Dog Straw is designed for optimal sipping, and we hope it brings a friendly reminder that we don’t need to take enjoying a delicious hot dog seriously. Some things are just meant to be fun.”
