Oregon’s Bo Nix gets massive New York City billboard; Joey Harrington approves

Bo Nix is now larger than life.

The Oregon quarterback – and former Auburn star – has had a massive billboard placed in the heart of New York City. As you can see, Nix is rocking the all-white Oregon uniform with the message “BOdacious” accompanying the visual.

Nix isn’t the first Oregon quarterback to be put on display in Manhattan. In 2001, Oregon erected a billboard promoting then-quarterback Joey Harrington right across from Madison Square Garden.

“I could not love this any more!” Harrington tweeted. “Go shock the world, Bo! Our whole @uoregon @GoDucks family is behind you!”

According to OregonLive.com, the Nix billboard is roughly 151 feet by 90 feet billboard on Park Avenue South.

Per the report, OUTFRONT, the advertising firm that controls the billboard, claims the billboard is “the largest outdoor advertisement of its kind in the area” and that it generates nearly 600,000 weekly impressions.

Nix, during Pac-12 media day, made headlines earlier this summer was asked his reaction to Lane Kiffin’s description of the transfer portal and NIL as a “disaster.”

The Oregon quarterback, who transferred from Auburn, is proud of what he has been able to do in college football at both of his stops and has been open about his journey.

“Being a graduate transfer really set my career up for success,” Nix said in July. “And I was able to choose a place like Oregon and go and be a fit to them and be that extra piece that they were needing for their puzzle. I think NIL because there are so many people that have done it before me, I really take pride in what I’ve had the opportunity to do. Being a quarterback, not only at Auburn but at Oregon, is a valuable thing. It really is nothing to be taken for granted. It’s a blessing to be a part of.”

It certainly worked out for Nix, who threw for a career-high 3,593 yards with 29 passing touchdowns last season. He also tied former Marcus Mariota for an Oregon record 14 rushing touchdowns.
