Only 4 stocks make gains on Mobile and Alabama Stock Report
The S&P 500 extended its winning streak to eight days on Wednesday but our Mobile and Alabama Stock Report wasn’t quite so fortunate.
Only four stocks saw gains, led by GE at +1.8%.
Enviva footed the table at -6.3%.
Mobile-based Computer Programs and Systems lost 2.2% to close at a 52-week low of $13.18 a share.
Overall, U.S. stocks were largely stuck in place Wednesday as Wall Street continues to recalibrate following its sharp recent swings.
The S&P 500 edged up by 4.40 points, or 0.1%, to 4,382.78 for a third straight day of quiet, mixed trading. Its movements have become much calmer after the index screamed to its best week of the year last week, which itself came after months of painful losses.
