The final ASWA high school softball rankings feature only one change to No. 1 teams in the eight classes.

Springville moved to No. 1 in Class 5A, retaking the spot it held for the first four rankings of the season. Previous No. 1 Brewbaker Tech is No. 2.

The remainder of No. 1 teams are the same. Class 7A Central-Phenix City, Class 6A Wetumpka, Class 4A Curry, Class 3A Plainview, Class 2A Wicksburg, Class 1A Skyline and AISA Macon East held the top spot.

Class 3A top-ranked Plainview (31-0) continues to be the only undefeated team among the rankings.

Class 7A fourth-ranked Hoover (25-6-1) is the only state team among MaxPreps national rankings. The Bucs are No. 29.

Area tournaments will be played April 27-May 4 with regional action May 9-12. The state tournament is May 16-20 at Oxford’s Choccolocco Park.
