An off-duty Mobile police officer was shot at while walking in an apartment complex Monday night, according to officials.

Few details were immediately available.

The incident happened at around 9:25 p.m. in the Woodside Apartments at 5089 Government Boulevard.

Officers called to the scene on a report of a shooting learned the officer was walking in the complex when someone in a vehicle fired a shot in his direction. No injuries were reported.

The officer was wearing civilian clothing at the time of the incident, police said.

This is an active investigation, police said.

There has been no word on arrests and police said they will not be giving interviews to the media about the incident at this time.
