Notre Dame hiring former NFL linebacker from Alabama’s staff
Notre Dame is expected to hire Alabama analyst Max Bullough to its staff, On3Sports reported Saturday.
Bullough, a former NFL linebacker, had been a graduate assistant for Alabama from 2020-22. His name was added earlier this week to Alabama’s list of analysts, indicating a promotion, but was removed by Saturday.
The 31-year old played three seasons for the Houston Texans from 2014-16 after going undrafted out of Michigan State. His father, Shane Bullough, was a linebacker for the Spartans in the mid-1980s when Nick Saban was Michigan State’s defensive coordinator.
Bullough worked with Alabama’s inside linebackers under then-position coach Pete Golding, who left this offseason for Ole Miss. The Tide had not yet named Golding’s replacement in coaching inside linebackers.
