Northwest Alabama placed under a heat advisory until Monday evening
At 11:38 a.m. on Sunday, the National Weather Service released a heat advisory in effect until Monday at 7 p.m. for Lauderdale, Colbert and Franklin counties.
The weather service says to anticipate, “Heat index values up to 108 degrees.”
“Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses,” says the weather service.
