North Alabama under a wind advisory Sunday
The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory at 1:03 a.m. on Saturday valid for Sunday between midnight and noon for Lauderdale, Colbert, Franklin, Lawrence, Limestone, Madison, Morgan, Marshall, Jackson, DeKalb and Cullman counties.
The weather service adds, “Southwest to west winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph expected.”
“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” says the weather service. “Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution. Secure outdoor objects.”
