A Madison man died Sunday afternoon following a crash in Winston County.

Cpl. Reginal M. King said the incident happened at about 5:30 p.m. Sunday on National Forest Road 266, about five miles northeast of Addison.

Gary L. Goucher, 69, was driving a 2005 Toyota Tacoma which left the roadway, struck a tree and traveled down an embankment through a wooded area, before overturning in a creek.

His body was found on Monday, King said.

Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
