A Trinity man operating an ATV died Friday morning in Lawrence County, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA).

Senior Trooper Brandon Bailey said the single-vehicle crash happened at about 7:10 a.m. Friday.

Kevin D. Coffey, 48, was injured when the 2019 Polaris Razor ATV that he was driving left the roadway, struck a culvert and overturned.

Coffey was not using a seat belt at the time of crash and was pronounced dead at the scene, Bailey said. 

Troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
