North Alabama man killed after being ejected from vehicle in wreck
A north Alabama man died Wednesday afternoon when he was ejected from the vehicle he was driving after it overturned in DeKalb County, authorities said.
Carl R. Nestor, 51, of Fort Payne, was driving a 2005 Nissan Altima around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday when the car left DeKalb County Road 89 near DeKalb County Road 130 and overturned, said Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Senior Trooper Brandon Bailey.
Nestor, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck about one mile south of Fort Payne, said Bailey.
Further information was unavailable as state troopers continued to investigate.
