A Danville man died Thursday in a single-vehicle crash.

Senior Trooper Cody Farrar of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) said the incident happened at about 4 p.m. Thursday on Lawrence County 87 near Lawrence County 434, about six miles east of Moulton.

Jimmy D. Peebles, 67, was driving a 1965 Replica Roadster that left the roadway, struck a utility pole, overturned and caught fire.

Peebles was pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
