No weapon found after report of threat at Strada Patient Care: Mobile police
Mobile police said a report of a threat at a health care center Friday appears to be unfounded.
Officers responded to the Strada Patient Care Center on Center Street after a report of a threat involving a firearm.
But a search of the facility and area, no one with a weapon was found, no were there any witnesses who could confirm hearing any shots fired.
Police said they will continue to search the surrounding area and investigate the incident “to ensure the safety and security of all individuals in the vicinity,” adding there is no imminent threat to the public and operations at the health care facility are returning to normal.
Strada Patient Care center is part of the USA Health system. According to its website, the facility houses 100 multispecialty services, with 153 exam rooms in the 133,000-square-foot building.
