An early season matchup between Class 6A top 10 Parker and Mountain Brook propelled each team on a separate path toward the same destination and now they collide once more in a Class 6A second-round playoff game.

The Thundering Herd won the Aug. 30 matchup 30-16 at Mountain Brook and return to Spartan Stadium with a spot in the quarterfinals on the line.
