Nick Saban’s daughter has message for critical Alabama fans, shares opinion of Finebaum

Kristen Saban Setas would like a word with you disgruntled Alabama fans. She also has a couple of words for Paul Finebaum.

Three days after Alabama fell at home to Texas 34-24, Nick Saban’s daughter posted a video to Instagram with the caption, “Getting tired of reminding y’all.”

The message is clear. After all, it is the Alabama coach himself delivering the message, via a 2021 rant about self-absorbed fans.

“You know what else?” Nick Saban said. “Nobody wants to win worse than they do. Not me, not you, I don’t care what kind of fan you are. Nobody wants to win more than the players that play. Nobody.

“And nobody feels worse than they do when they lose. Nobody. So for all you self-absorbed folks out there that can’t look past your own self, aight, to appreciate what other people are doing.”

Alabama and fans are reeling from a 34-24 loss at home to then-No. 11 Texas. Quinn Ewers threw for 349 yards and three touchdowns over then-No. 3 Alabama.

The Crimson Tide (1-1), which has now seen three games slip away late in the past two seasons, had its 21-game home winning streak snapped along with a 57-game regular-season binge against nonconference teams dating to Saban’s debut season, 2007.

Talk of an Alabama dynasty coming to an end has been a topic of debate this week.

Saban Setas also made her opinion known of SEC Network analyst Paul Finebaum, who rarely pulls punches when it comes to criticism of any team.

On Saturday, Finebaum debuted in an Alabama sorority’s “O.O.T.D.” video, in which he called “surreal.”

In the comment section of an Instagram post, she posted that she “still hates him.” While it is unclear what specifically she is referring to, you can bet it is Alabama football related.

Kristen Saban Setas made her feelings known about SEC Network analyst Paul Finebaum over the weekend.
