Nick Saban-Pat McAfee proves to be match made in heaven after latest interaction
Pat McAfee has proven he will bring out the more entertaining side of Nick Saban.
On Friday, the ESPN analyst announced the Alabama coach will join him every Thursday on the show, and it appears it will be a pairing worth watching.
On Saturday, during Saban’s appearance on “GameDay,” he was talking about the balance between playing with emotion and being too emotional. McAfee jumped in about snapping headsets, a reference to a story Saban told on air the day before.
“I’ll never hear the end of that one,” Saban said with a smile.
Rece Davis asked Saban if there will be a point in his weekly appearances that he gives it back to McAfee.
“I’ll figure out a way,” Saban quipped.
On Friday, McAfee promised the Alabama coach will get the dumbest questions he’s ever been asked with the expectation of exploring the brain of the greatest college coach of all time. In fact, McAfee said he hopes to not ruin Saban’s brand.
McAfee’s reference to the story Saban shared about his hilarious dad moment about attending a junior high basketball game in which his son got a technical.
