Nick Saban enjoying retirement, catches legendary rock band live
Nick Saban continues to live his best life, catching a The Rolling Stones concert with his family.
The former Alabama coach, along with Miss Terry and others, snapped a pic at the concert. Saban’s daughter Kristen posted it on Instagram.
The 72-year-old Saban has always been a fan of The Rolling Stones, revealing last summer during SEC Media Days it is his music of choice after games.
“We always play ‘Gimme Shelter’ (by the Rolling Stones) going home after the game, but I don’t listen to music before the game,” Saban replied in July when asked about a pre-game playlist.. “I’m kind of thinking about, ‘Have we covered everything we need to cover? Are the players ready to go? Trying to anticipate what might be a problem in the game at some point.’”
Saban first saw The Rolling Stones in the 1970s as a student – and football player – at Kent State.
Check out what he said about The Rolling Stones starting at the 1:07:24 mark when he explained how Mick Jagger impacted Hall of Famer Jack Lambert’s football career.
