Nick Saban buys $17.5 million property on Jupiter Island

Alabama coach Nick Saban bought a $17.5 million beachfront home on Jupiter Island in Florida this past spring, according to the Palm Beach Post.

The property is listed as a 6,200-square foot house, which was initially priced at $21.5 million. The house, which was built in 1992, was renovated in 2016 and includes six bedrooms, marble floors, a floating staircase, and floor-to-ceiling glass walls, per the report. It comes with a 40,000-pound boat lift.

The 1.68-acre estate is among many on Jupiter Island, which is also home to Tiger Woods, Gary Player, Greg Norman and singer Celine Dion.

Saban has been a big fan of the area for some time.

It was well documented the Alabama coach settled friendly college national championship bets with Clemson coach Dabo Swinney in Boca Grande, Florida.

Saban and Swinney have secondary homes in the Gasparilla Island community. Last year, the Alabama coach talked about how Hurricane Ian wreaked havoc on the area. Both coaches’ Boca Grande homes were part of a 2019 profile from Sports Illustrated on their ability to get away in the quiet community. It noted Saban had a boat at the house that he used to fish in the Gulf of Mexico, noting in 2015 that he’d recently pulled in a 180-pound tarpon in Boca Grande.
