As the end of the NFL regular season nears, former Alabama stars Tua Tagovailoa, Jalen Hurts, and Amari Cooper are hunting for Week 15 victories as their teams make a final push for the playoffs.
NFL Week 15 prop picks: Top wagers to place on Tua Tagovailoa, Jalen Hurts, and Amari Cooper
Tua Tagovailoa to throw an interception vs. the Jets (-125 or better)
Dolphins fans’ hearts sunk into their stomachs in Week 14 when Tyreek Hill was in serious pain after sustaining an ankle injury. Hill would miss a significant chunk of the game before returning in the late stages, finishing with five catches for 61 yards.
Hill is day-to-day, and even if he plays limited snaps vs. the Jets, it would severely hinder Miami’s offense. Tyreek leads the league in receiving yards and touchdowns, acting as the backbone of the Phins’ offense.
Tagovailoa threw for 243 yards, a touchdown, and two interceptions in a subpar Week 12 performance against Gang Green. With Hill hobbled and potentially out for the game, Tua will likely struggle.
Jalen Hurts over 249.5 passing yards vs. the Seahawks (-115 or better)
Hurts had 197 yards and no passing or rushing touchdowns in arguably his worst outing of the season last week in a 33-13 loss to the Cowboys. Philadelphia now hits the road for Monday Night Football in Seattle, where the crowd noise is deafening but the Seahawks’ defense is lackluster.
Seattle allows 24 points per game and has one of the worst passing defenses in the NFL. In the previous two weeks, the Seahawks were torched by Dak Prescott and Brock Purdy, surrendering an average of 333 yards.
The Eagles are loaded with offensive playmakers like A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, and Dallas Goedert, who returned from a lengthy absence in Week 14. Philadelphia’s two-game losing skid will end on Monday, thanks to a monster outing from Hurts.
Amari Cooper under 57.5 receiving yards vs. the Bears (-115 or better)
The Bears have had trouble stopping the pass this season, allowing 230 yards per game, mainly due to Chicago’s inability to generate QB pressure. Since adding Montez Sweat at the trade deadline, the Monsters of the Midway have seemingly returned to the brand of football that NFL fans have come to expect from the Bears.
With Sweat in the lineup, Chicago has surrendered only 195 passing yards per game, and only once in five weeks has an opponent surpassed 20 points.
Game one with Joe Flacco under center was a struggle for Cooper, catching just three passes for 34 yards. Last week, in Flacco’s second game with the Browns, Cooper saw a season-high 14 targets, resulting in seven receptions for 77 yards.
Cleveland’s offensive line has dealt with injuries throughout the year and took another hit this week with tackle Dawand Jones suffering a season-ending knee injury. The surging Bears defense figures to be a difficult matchup for the Browns.
