NFL teams add 17 more undrafted rookies from Alabama high schools and colleges
Sixteen NFL teams announced their slates of undrafted rookies on Friday, bringing 17 more players from Alabama high schools and colleges under contract.
Twenty-six NFL teams are holding their rookie minicamps this weekend. The Friday announcements completed the listing of players passed over in the NFL Draft on April 24-26 who then signed contracts with league teams that will carry them from rookie minicamp into an NFL club’s offseason program.
The players from Alabama high schools and colleges in the Friday announcements included:
- Auburn linebacker Eugene Asante signed with the Miami Dolphins.
- Auburn defensive tackle Philip Blidi signed with the Tennessee Titans.
- Georgia Southern offensive tackle Dom Boyd signed with the Las Vegas Raiders. Boyd played at Alabama State in 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023.
- Florida Atlantic defensive tackle Devonta Davis signed with the Indianapolis Colts. Davis played at Bullock County High School.
- Alabama tight end CJ Dippre signed with the New England Patriots.
- Alabama long snapper Kneeland Hibbert signed with the Miami Dolphins. Hibbert played at Florence High School.
- UAB defensive tackle Desmond Little signed with the Indianapolis Colts. Little played at Vigor High School in Prichard.
- Ohio State center Seth McLaughlin signed with the Cincinnati Bengals. McLaughlin played at Alabama in 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023 seasons.
- Syracuse wide receiver Jackson Meeks signed with the Detroit Lions. Meeks played at Central High School in Phenix City.
- Troy wide receiver Landon Parker signed with the Indianapolis Colts.
- South Alabama wide receiver Jamaal Pritchett signed with the New York Jets. Pritchett played at Jackson High School before spending the 2021 season at Tuskegee.
- Florida State linebacker Cam Riley signed with the New England Patriots. Riley played at Hillcrest High School in Evergreen before spending the 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023 seasons at Auburn.
- UCF safety LaDarius Tennison signed with the Indianapolis Colts. Tennison played at Auburn in the 2020 and 2021 seasons.
- Auburn quarterback Payton Thorne signed with the Cincinnati Bengals.
- Ole Miss safety Trey Washington signed with the Indianapolis Colts. Washington played at Hewitt-Trussville High School.
- Jacksonville State guard Clay Webb signed with the Denver Broncos. Webb played at Oxford High School.
- South Alabama wide receiver Jeremiah Webb signed with the New England Patriots.
In addition, SMU center Justin Osborne, who spent the 2019 season at Auburn without playing, signed with the Cleveland Browns.
Other rookies from Alabama high schools and colleges who did not get picked in the NFL Draft but have since signed contracts and were announced by their teams before Friday include:
- Louisville wide receiver Ja’Corey Brooks signed with the Washington Commanders. Brooks played at Alabama in the 2021, 2022 and 2023 seasons.
- Kansas cornerback Cobee Bryant signed with the Atlanta Falcons. Bryant played at Hillcrest High School in Evergreen.
- Alabama punter James Burnip signed with the New Orleans Saints.
- Auburn punter Oscar Chapman signed with the Minnesota Vikings.
- Auburn tight end Rivaldo Fairweather signed with the Dallas Cowboys.
- Oregon wide receiver Traeshon Holden signed with the Dallas Cowboys. Holden played at Alabama in the 2021 and 2022 seasons.
- UCF wide receiver Kobe Hudson signed with the Carolina Panthers. Hudson played at Auburn in the 2020 and 2021 seasons.
- West Virginia defensive lineman TJ Jackson signed with the Seattle Seahawks. Jackson played at Stanhope Elmore High School in Millbrook before spending the 2021, 2022 and 2023 seasons at Troy.
- Auburn defensive tackle Jayson Jones signed with the Baltimore Ravens. Jones played at Calera High School.
- UCLA linebacker Ale Kaho signed with the Washington Commanders. Kaho played at Alabama in the 2018, 2019 and 2020 seasons.
- Auburn linebacker Austin Keys signed with the Minnesota Vikings.
- UCF offensive tackle Amari Kight signed with the Seattle Seahawks. Kight played at Thompson High School in Alabaster before spending the 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 seasons at Alabama.
- Auburn wide receiver Robert Lewis signed with the Minnesota Vikings.
- Auburn linebacker Dorian Mausi signed with the Minnesota Vikings.
- Texas A&M cornerback BJ Mayes signed with the Philadelphi Eagles. Mayes played at UAB in the 2023 season.
- Southern Cal outside linebacker Jamil Muhammad signed with the Los Angeles Rams. Muhammad played at James Clemens High School in Madison.
- Bowling Green cornerback Jordan Oladokun signed with the Los Angeles Chargers. Oladokun played at Samford in the 2021 season.
- Central Arkansas running back ShunDerrick Powell signed with the Philadelphia Eagles. Powell played at North Alabama in the 2021 and 2022 seasons.
- Auburn defensive tackle Isaiah Raikes signed with the Tennessee Titans.
- Kansas defensive end Jereme Robinson signed with the Chicago Bears. Robinson played at Carver High School in Montgomery.
- Colorado safety Cam’Ron Silmon-Craig signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Silmon-Craig played at Fultondale High School.
- Jacksonville State running back Tre Stewart signed with the Minnesota Vikings.
- Memphis wide receiver Roc Taylor signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Taylor played at Oxford High School.
- South Alabama fullback DJ Thomas-Jones signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Thomas-Jones played at Saraland High School.
- South Alabama nose tackle Wy’Kevious Thomas signed with the Seattle Seahawks.
- Auburn safety Jerrin Thompson signed with the Tennessee Titans.
- Georgia Southern running back Jalen White signed with the Green Bay Packers. White played at Daleville High School.
