NFL Scouting Combine: Which quarterback ran fastest on Saturday?
Missouri’s Brady Cook recorded the fastest 40-yard dash among the quarterbacks at the NFL Scouting Combine on Saturday. But he had to outrun only two other QBs.
Of the 15 quarterbacks at the combine, Cook, Louisville’s Tyler Shough and Memphis’ Seth Henigan ran the 40.
Shough turned in a time of 4.63 seconds. Henigan had a 4.76-second 40.
Among the quarterbacks who didn’t run on Saturday at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis were Alabama’s Jalen Milroe and Notre Dame’s Riley Leonard, who starred at Fairhope High School.
In the other measured drills on Saturday, the leaders among the quarterbacks included:
Vertical jump: Four quarterbacks participated, with Ohio State’s Will Howard, joining the 40 runners. Cook’s 37-inch showing was 5 inches better than second-place Shough.
Broad jump: The same four quarterbacks from the vertical jump tackled this station, too, with Cook winning easily again. Cook cleared 10 feet, 8 inches (128 inches). Shough was second again at 117 inches.
