Kentucky’s Maxwell Hairston became the first player to run faster than 4.3 seconds in the 40-yard dash at the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine on Friday.
Hairston ran the 40 in 4.28 seconds to lead the cornerback group at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
Iowa State’s Darien Porter clocked a 4.30 to finish second among the cornerbacks.
Tulane’s Caleb Ransaw had the third-best time among the cornerbacks at 4.33 seconds. Ransaw is a former Sparkman High School star who played three seasons at Troy before transferring to Tulane for the 2024 season.
