NFL Draft: Will Levis is that guy stuck in green room, undrafted; Social media reacts
There’s always one.
Every year, there’s that guy in the NFL Draft green room, waiting for his name to be called only to wait uncomfortably longer than expected.
On Thursday night, it was Kentucky’s Will Levis, and social media took notice.
Chris Mortensen reported late Thursday night there was a reason the Wildcats quarterback was not selected.
Heading into the draft, there was no certainty beyond the No. 1 pick and even that wasn’t a lock. Some thought Kentucky’s Levis would be the second QB taken but he slipped out of the first round. Tennessee’s Hendon Hooker, who is coming off ACL surgery, also wasn’t taken on the first day.
It didn’t help Levis that Ohio State’s C.J. Stroud was taken with the No. 2 pick by the Houston Texans and Florida’s Anthony Richardson got selected by the Indianapolis Colts at No. 4.
Ian Rapoport reports Levis wasn’t the only player in the green room not drafted. Joey Porter Jr, Brian Branch, and Keion White were also players in the Kansas City green room not selected.
