NFL Draft: C.J. Stroud says, ‘I’m a football player … I’m not an S2 taker;’ Cardale Jones trending

C.J. Stroud responded Wednesday to questions surrounding his S2 Cognition Test, a day before the NFL Draft.

The Ohio State quarterback, who participated in the NFL Play Football clinic, was asked about his results of the test, which NFL teams use to assess athletes’ ability to process information.

Stroud took the test multiple times and posted low scores. He scored an 18% (out of 100%) while Alabama’s Bryce Young scored the highest at 98. Stroud responded to the low score, saying test taking does not reflect what teams that had him for visits know what he is capable of.

“I’m a football player. … I’m not an S2 taker,” Stroud said, per NFL.com. “But shout out to S2, man, they probably have a good system, what they do, no diss to them. But I know who I am, and I know what I can do on that field. And I’ll do that at the next level.”

The response was met by social media comparisons to former Ohio State quarterback Cardale Jones.

Jones once tweeted “we ain’t come to play school” and that “classes are pointless” only to make reference to them on the day he graduated from college.

Cardale Jones, the quarterback from Ohio State’s 2014 national championship run, made reference to the notorious tweet during the ceremony.

In October of 2012, Jones tweeted:

“Why should we have to go to class if we came here to play FOOTBALL, we ain’t come to play SCHOOL classes are POINTLESS.”

The tweet and Jones’ entire account had been deleted after the tweet.

However, Jones brought back the tweet the weekend of his graduation.
