A New York-style pizzeria chain is planning to open its second Alabama location next year in Hoover.

Grimaldi’s Pizzeria will open a 4,000-foot restaurant at Stadium Trace Village in Hoover, at 5225 Peridot Place, Suite 121, in the spring of 2024.

The restaurant will be able to accommodate up to 150 diners and feature two custom-built coal-fired ovens.

Power Brands Hospitality Group (PBHG) is the Alabama franchisee.

Grimaldi’s currently operates 45 company-owned restaurants and one franchised location in the U.S., plus one international location in Abu Dhabi.

Grimaldi’s Pizzeria COO Michael Flaum said the response to the company’s first franchised location in Huntsville was “overwhelmingly positive.”

“Power Brands Hospitality Group’s vision and values align with our long-standing reputation, and we look forward to creating lifelong Grimaldi’s fans across the state of Alabama,” Flaum said.

The restaurant features a menu of brick-oven pizza and calzones, along with salads, starters, and desserts. There is a full bar of cocktails, wines, and premium and local craft beers.

Kumar Patel, managing partner at PBHG, said his plan always involved multiple locations in Alabama.

“With the expansion into Hoover at Stadium Trace Village, along with the Huntsville location, that vision has quickly become a reality, and together, we are dedicated to providing quality experiences to our Alabama communities,” Patel said.
