The number 25 is one of the things they have in common. Fran Bolden was born on the 25th of September and Jerrel Wynn on October 25.

Bolden and Wynn are not only romantic partners, they’re business partners in a new seafood restaurant/brewpub called Catch 25 coming to downtown Huntsville. The venture’s name is a play on their shared numeral, the seafood thing and the phrase “catch-22,” which refers to contradictory conditions.

Besides the number 25, Bolden and Wynn also share a fondness for enjoying a good craft beer, cider or wine with their seafood. “So we thought, huh, it might be interesting to combine them,” Bolden says. “And give people some different choices of seafood and craft beer and different drink options. The biggest thing is (the concept) it’s different.”

There’s a sentimental piece, too. Bolden and Wynn first met at Wintzell’s Oyster House, the now-defunct Huntsville seafood eatery. They started a friendship, which blossomed into more than that.

Bolden and Wynn hope to have Catch 25 open by late October or so. The business is located in the old Huntsville Times building at 220 Holmes Ave. N.E., the former location of Below the Radar, the brewpub/restaurant that shuttered around late 2021 after a nearly 10-year run there.
