New Garth Brooks album will only be available at Bass Pro Shops
A new Garth Brooks album is on the way, but there’s a twist: You can only get it at one store.
“Time Traveler,” the country superstar’s 14th studio album and first new music in three years, will be released Nov. 7 as part of a seven-disc boxed set available exclusively through Bass Pro Shops.
Billboard reports “The Limited Series” collection will include his three-disc “Triple Live” concert recording and his three most recent albums since coming out of retirement, including 2014′s “Man Against Machine,” 2016′s “Gunslinger” and 2020′s “Fun.”
“There are a lot of different eras on this album, thus the name,” Brooks said in a statement. “Country music’s core is sincerity. After that, you can dress it up a thousand different ways. I am so lucky to live under the flag of country music.”
Fans can pre-order “The Limited Series” through Bass Pro Shops online for $29.95; fans can also get a $20 credit if they sign up for a Bass Pro Shows Club credit card.
A rep for Brooks told Billboard that this will be the only way fans can hear the new “Time Traveler” album; it will not be released as an individual album or on a streaming service.
(Hey, at least the twist isn’t the return of Chris Gaines.)
