Netflix teaming up with SEC for docuseries chronicling the 2024 football season
Netflix and the Southeastern Conference have collaborated in a docuseries that will give “unfiltered access to coaches and players in college football’s most dominant conference.”
The series will have eight 45-minute episodes and is produced by the same company that made other sports shows such as “Formula 1: Drive to Survive,” and “Full Swing,” a series with behind-the-scenes access to the PGA Tour.
The participating schools are Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, Kentucky, LSU, Mississippi State, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas A&M and Vanderbilt, according to a report from The Athletic.
“This behind-the-scenes docuseries will bring all the drama and pageantry of Southeastern Conference Football to a worldwide Netflix audience,” SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey said in a release.
The release from Netflix also said the docuseries will “bring viewers everywhere from the field and the locker rooms to the team buses, barbershops, and more.”
There is no exact release date yet, but the series is set to come out in Summer 2025.
