Netflix drops Cobra Kai’s final season teaser, series gets three premiere dates

Netflix released Thursday the first trailer for the final season of Cobra Kai.

The sixth and final season of the wildly popular series, based on the 1980s classic “Karate Kid,” will also come to the streaming service in three parts with the first five episodes set for Thursday, July 18.

Fans, however, will have to practice the patience of Miyagi-Do karate after that. The next chapter won’t drop until Thanksgiving Day (Nov. 28) with the last third of the season debuting in 2025.

For those that need a refresher, Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) are preparing students for the Sekai Taikai tournament in Japan. Last season saw the demise of Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith), but things will ramp up in the final season when John Kreese (Martin Kove) teams up with Kim Dae-uen (Alicia Hannah-Kim) to revive Cobra Kai.
