National craft chain Joann is reportedly considering filing for bankruptcy.

Citing sources close to the matter, Bloomberg News reported the filing could come as soon as this week. The sources said the company is hoping to generate enough fresh capital to build up cash reserves and exist Chapter 11 quickly.

Bloomberg’s sources said Joann has had trouble maintaining liquidity and inventory levels. The chain sells fabric, sewing supplies and craft items and home décor.

Joann operates about 850 stores nationwide.
