NASCAR star makes emotional announcement

Bubba Wallace and his wife Amanda announced Tuesday the birth of their first child Becks Hayden Wallace earlier this week.

The couple announced the news on social media.

“Amanda and I would like to introduce you to Becks Hayden!” Bubba Wallace posted on Instagram. “We were blessed with his presence Sunday 9/29 nine months of waiting on this little guy, he’s made it all worth it! So excited for this journey!”

Wallace, driver of the No. 23 Toyota for 23XI Racing, flew home from Kansas Speedway for the delivery of his son just hours before Wallace competed in the NASCAR Cup Series race.

Last month, Bubba Wallace signed a multi-year contract extension with 23XI Racing that the team announced with a 10-second video on social media. Wallace did not make the Cup Series playoffs this season. The team is owned by Denny Hamlin and Michael Jordan.

Wallace, 30, has has two wins and 42 top-10 finishes in his eight-year NASCAR career.
