Motorist sought in hit-and-run that critically injured Jefferson County motorcyclist
Authorities are seeking information about a hit-and-run that left a motorcyclist in critical condition.
The crash happened about 8 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 23, on Highway 78 near Bethel Road, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
Lt. Joni Money said an unknown vehicle struck the maroon Harley-Davidson motorcycle from the rear and left the scene.
The 53-year-old driver of the motorcycle was airlifted to UAB Hospital and was in critical condition at the time of transport.
