Motorist injured in north Alabama Thanksgiving Day road rage shooting expected to make full recovery

A person shot during a reported road rage shooting in north Alabama on Thanksgiving Day is expected to make a full recovery.

The victim, whose identity has not been released, was treated and released from Huntsville Hospital, said Madison County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Brent Patterson.

Shots were fired between two vehicles on Highway 53 in Madison County. The shooting happened about 2:30 p.m. in Harvest around the Redstone Federal Credit Union, near the intersection with Jeff Road.

No additional information is being released at this time.

The Madison County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the shooting, and Patterson on Friday said no arrests have been made.
