A motorcyclist was killed in a crash Saturday night in Hueytown.

The wreck happened about 10:15 p.m. in the 3100 block of Allison Bonnett Memorial Drive.

According to police, the motorcyclist was driving eastbound, lost control in a curve and slid into a westbound vehicle.

Hueytown Fire and Rescue attempted life-saving measures, but the victim was pronounced dead on the scene.

The victim’s identity has not yet been released.

The driver of the car was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash is being investigated by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
