A motorcyclist was killed Sunday in a crash in east Birmingham.

The wreck happened at 5:50 p.m. in the 5600 block of Oporto Madrid Boulevard.

Authorities said 31-year-old Demarcus Deshawn Swanson, of Birmingham, was involved in a collision with a pickup truck, according to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office.

Swanson was pronounced dead on the scene at 6:09 p.m.

Birmingham police are investigating.
