A motorcyclist was killed in a traffic crash on Interstate 459 in Bessemer.

The wreck happened at 7:45 p.m. Thursday on I-459 at Morgan Road. Multiple vehicles were involved, authorities said, but no additional details were released.

The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the motorcyclist as 28-year-old Harley William Dale Cantreell of Clanton. He was pronounced dead on the scene at 8:02 p.m.

Bessemer police are investigating.
