A two-vehicle wreck in east Alabama left one man dead.

The crash happened at 11:57 a.m. Wednesday on Wildman Road, about three miles west of Anniston in Calhoun County.

Alabama State Troopers said David W. Pledger, 55, of Anniston, was driving a Hyosung GT650R motorcycle that struck a Dodge Ram.

Pledger was taken to UAB Hospital in Birmingham where he was later pronounced dead.

The Dodge Ram was driven by Phillip Harwell, 54, of Albertville. He was not injured.
