Mother of child found wandering alone with puppy in central Alabama now located
UPDATE: The Elmore County Sheriff’s Office reported just before 5 p.m. that the boy’s mother had been located.
EARLIER: Authorities are searching for the parents of guardians of a young boy who was found alone Friday afternoon in Millbrook.
The boy, who appears to be about 3 years old, was found at 2:20 p.m. in the 2800 block of Charmwood Drive near Main Street.
Authorities said the boy was wearing dark jogging pants, Croc shoes and no shirt. He was accompanied by a Pitbull puppy.
Police have not been able to locate his family. He is being cared for by police as the search for his guardians continues.
DHR had been notified.
