Morning shooting leaves 1 dead in front yard of Center Point home
A morning shooting in Center Point left one man dead.
Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies were dispatched at 6:19 a.m. Wednesday to a report of a person shot at 1641 First Street N.E.
They arrived to find the man wounded in the front yard of the home.
Sheriff’s spokesman Henry Irby said deputies began CPR until Center Point Fire and Rescue arrived and pronounced him dead.
His identity has not yet been released.
