More heat advisories for Alabama today: Heat index could hit 110
More heat advisories will be in effect for Alabama on Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.
Air temperatures are again forecast to climb into the 90s today, and some areas will hit the upper 90s.
Combine those air temperatures with continued high humidity levels and it could feel much hotter.

Here is a look at the heat advisories on Thursday:
NORTH ALABAMA

A heat advisory will be in effect for all of north Alabama through Friday.NWS
- A heat advisory will in effect for all of north Alabama until 7 p.m. Friday. The weather service said that the heat index could range from 103 to 110 in the region today and tomorrow.
CENTRAL ALABAMA

A heat advisory will be in effect for the northern part of central Alabama through Thursday evening.NWS
- A heat advisory will be in effect for the northern part of central Alabama until 7 p.m. Thursday. The National Weather Service said the heat index could go as high as 106 this afternoon.
SOUTH ALABAMA

Here’s today’s forecast for south and south-central Alabama.NWS
There are no heat advisories in effect today for south Alabama, but it will still be very hot there, with highs expected to peak in the mid-90s.
