Little Debbie has some explaining to do.

MoonPie learned via social media the snack-cake giant is pushing banana marshmallow pies eerily similar to Chattanooga’s legendary treat, which rolled out its own banana-flavored version decades ago.

Of course, MoonPies – as you know, especially those of you who take in Mardi Gras in Mobile – are the perfect combination of marshmallow, graham and your flavor choice, including banana.

If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery then MoonPie wants a word.

“Little Debbie, I’d like to speak to Deborah please,” MoonPie said on social media when a consumer pointed out that Little Debbie was trying to start a fight.

Little Debbie describes the product as two cookies with a layer of marshmallow and coated in banana-flavored icing.

It’s the ultimate retro dessert that is perfect for anyone who loves marshmallows and bananas.

Choosing between to the two products even started a TikTok debate.
