Moody man charged with murder in downtown Birmingham shooting
A Moody man was arrested and charged with murder in last week’s fatal shooting of another man in downtown Birmingham following a gambling dispute, police said Thursday.
Quinton Kirby Little, Jr., 25, of Moody, turned himself in to Birmingham homicide detectives Thursday and was arrested on murder charges in the fatal shooting of De’Anthony Samuels.
Samuels and two others were shot around 9:37 p.m. Dec. 19 in the 2300 block of Park Place after a dispute following gambling, police said.
Samuels was taken to UAB Hospital and died of his injuries Dec. 20.
The two other victims were treated and released.
Little was released from the Jefferson County Jail after posting $60,000 bond, police said.
