Montgomeryâs Capital City Club to close after 46 years
One of Montgomery’s signature upscale hangouts is ceasing operations.
WSFA is reporting that the Capital City Club, located at the top floors of the RSA Tower downtown, will close Saturday and cease operations by the end of the month.
In a letter Club Manager Daniel Clark said, “the members and employees of this wonderful club created many special memories, and we will miss the daily routines, fun events, friendships, and relationships built at the Capital City Club.”
A reason for the decision was not disclosed.
The club has been in business for 46 years but has been housed in the RSA Tower since 1997.
Members and employees will be offered opportunities to relocate memberships, or transfer employment, to other locations within the portfolio of Invited Clubs, a Texas-based company which owned the club, according to officials.
