A 53-year-old mother was arrested and charged with murder Tuesday after she allegedly shot and killed her 13-year-old son Monday night, police said.

Glenda Agee, 53, allegedly shot her 13-year-old son in the back around 10:53 p.m. Monday in the 2000 block of Jones Lane, said Mobile police spokesman Cpl. Ryan Blakely.

The teen, whose name was not publicly released, was taken to a hospital, where he died of his injuries.
